Shortly after doing the dishes, Murray left the party, the students said.

The newspaper reported that Murray met Stavnef at a bar where he was drinking with fellow golfers after playing in the October 5-8 Alfred Dunhill Links Championship in St. Andrews with other actors.

Cannonball.

Impossible, because I just saw him on TV, and he was somewhere in the US getting a custom chopper built.

I've never seen a CNN article say "(Were you there? Send your video or photos.)" That's a pretty interesting wrinkle, to include readers in the story if they've got pics.

Maybe he found it refreshing to hang out with people who are too young to quote lines from Caddyshack.

Matt, CNN will ask "were you there?" for stuff like tornados or other sudden disasters without a press release ahead of time. Usually newsworthy stuff. Usually.

The BBC do that all the time.

Bill Murray: [Coughs] Doc, what could I do for this cough?
RZA: Shit, I was just thinking about that. Check this out: you get some hydrogen peroxide...
Bill Murray: We got that for cuts and stuff.
RZA: ...take fifty percent hydrogen peroxide, fifty percent water. You gargle with it. Do *not* swallow, you spit it out. Don't swallow, Bill Murray.
GZA: And if that doesn't work, try oven cleaner.
Bill Murray: We got that in the back, too.

I like Bill Murray well enough, but aging gracefully? When I think of graceful, the last thing that I think of is some 55 year old guy partying with a bunch of college students. I wonder if Bill Murray has a MySpace page.

I consider the whole thing to be pretty classy. He didn't show up and booze around. He didn't go and use "star-power" to pick up eight girls then leave or anything. He wasn't there to score anything (that's been reported).

He went and hung out with some fans, was (as far as the article reports) a classy gentleman all night, then helped clean up afterwards.

You TELL me that's not aging gracefully.

I can't vouch for Bill Murray, but my twentysomething female cousin went on a date with Steve Martin. My cousin was more interested in getting a free meal from a celebrity, though, so she brought all her female friends along with her to eat on Mr. Martin's tab. If Murray was chasing twentysomething females, he evidently does it with a bit more finesse than Steve Martin.

On the other hand, it is Bill Murray. At least it's an elderly cool comedy actor in the news instead of Random Pop Starletron #127.
