It's a shame they dropped that catchy little tune (is that a Tasmanian Devil?) for the later customer rooms. How did that cat get in here?

That rocks, weapons-grade. Wish I'd seen those when I still had my daschund (though she'd just fix me with another of her withering looks). Also, what is it with daschunds and Japan? They're freakin' everywhere here!

The second link with all customer reviews (in Japanese only) was particularly useless to probably most of us.

Seriously, was this a "look at the cool Japanese website" post, or a "look, I really like making fun of the Japanese" post?

I have a high spirited Australian Cattle Dog, which could be characterized as a furry, meth fueled, high speed, crotch ramming missile. With teeth.

Seriously, this dog doesn't have an off. Her speed settings consist of fast, faster, and 'how the hell did you get up there?'

The thing is, if we put a doggy t-shirt on her, it completely breaks her. She just lays on the floor looking mournful.

It's quite awesome.

Kinda froufrou, hama7. I think hiro's house fashions are a little edgier, myself. All my dogs are into camo this year.

Oh god, this little-obnoxious-yappy-dog culture here in Japan has just gotten way out of hand, WAY over the top. There's a growing set of these dog people in my Tokyo neighborhood: they convene daily at the park to ooh and aah over their hideous little beasts' new sweaters or what-have-you. And many of them get together for post-midnight dog-walking where their horrible, diminutive rats invariably unleash rounds of shrieking barks just outside my window.

Can you perhaps direct me to a site where I can virtually mow down these types of dogs (and their owners) with some sort of virtual automatic weapon?

Just so's you know, puti (an old-fashioned romanization — the Dai-ichi Hotel in Tokyo used to be called the Dai-Iti) is pronounced "poochie."

Seriously, was this a "look at the cool Japanese website" post, or a "look, I really like making fun of the Japanese" post?

Oh for christ's sake. Do we have to have this paranoid crap every single time anything Japanese is mentioned here? It's frilly aprons for dogs. It's weird and funny and a good link. Are we not allowed to link to anything Japanese except the Manyoshu and cherry blossoms?

Oh for christ's sake. Do we have to have this paranoid crap every single time anything Japanese is mentioned here?

I wasn't being paranoid, I was irritated because I clicked on a link that's in a language I don't speak/read/have any context for deciphering. I guess I didn't click on the apples, but I clicked everywhere else.

While I don't need to spoon-fed in posts, I think that a post that links to webpages exclusively on a non-english webpage, how about something for me to hold on to as I look at a page that's completely incomprehensible to a non-speaker?

OK, sorry for the unnecessarily harsh response, but there are a number of people around here who jump into posts about weird Japanese stuff with "HOW DARE YOU MAKE FUN OF THE JAPANESE YOU IGNORANT PERSON" comments, so you can see why I assumed you were one of them. Now that I know your problem was with the fact that it was in Japanese and you couldn't understand it, I sympathize, but: It's frilly aprons for dogs! How much explanation do you need, really?
