I was just noticing how many of these houses have eyes painted on them in one form or another. Reminds me of the way people used to put eyes on ships.

Does anyone have more context on these than that Pink Tentacle blog post provides? Were the artists also residents? Have they released any statement as to why and how they undertook this project? Cool post.
