DoubleJeu X Y Z!

DoubleJeu is a simple French flash game; balance a ball on one axis while playing pong on a reversed axis. Easier to understand if you just visit the link.

That game is frustrating madness.

Ok. That's just sadistically evil.

"Hell is being trapped in a room with all your friends for an eternity."

"Yeah, but all Sartre's mates were French!"

Second Red Dwarf reference in as many hours. Kill me before I strike again.

It would be more fun if you could bounce the lower ball into the air and play pong with both. :)

21 seconds is my record so far.

Translation for les anglophones:

A Pain in the Ass Game Using Two Parts of Your Brain

Can you use both sides of your brain independently?
Are you intellegent enough to believe you can do it?

Don't let any of the two balls fall as long as possible, and you will be.

(Umm, unless my French sucks more than I think...I think, therefore I am?)

Crap, beat me to the post.

Bonus game: The Game Of Disorientation. Short but tricky.

What's a parpoing? I'm about as smart as one, except the one time I got 8 seconds, when I was not bad for a 3-year-old.

metamonkey, that's pure evil.

32secs - not too bad but I still can't pat my head and rub my tummy at the same time.

7.?? seconds. My cursor seems to escape the game. The game seems to extricate itself from my control. My control has evacuated my mind. My mind has extricated itself from my skull. Which is now empty.

34.102. The trick past the 30-second mark is to bounce the ball over the fulcrum repeatedly because the collision detection isn't nice enough to let you move in the paddle in quickly.

13 second is long enough for me to curse my trackpad many times over.

I beat you all with my massive score of 16.
posted by econous at 9:20 PM on October 27, 2006

My score is strictly less than 35s, although it seems I can get arbitrarily close :P
posted by Chuckles at 9:37 PM on October 27, 2006

I guess it's not that easy for everyone, but the trick for me, once I got past the learning curve of keeping the cursor in the flashbox, was to get the large ball rolling towards the direction the small ball is coming so when you go to hit the small ball the large one gets balanced out. I can consistently get 45-52 seconds. After that, the speed just gets Insane. Try practicing tabla for a few years and maybe this sort of thing gets easier. Or maybe I am a unique snowflake(who finally found his talent).

It says you've achieved the same score as Paris Hilton. In other words, you're an idiot.
