Be sure to check out his links to the urban legends. In a nutshell some idiots have ripping storm photos off his website and forwarding them around in chain letters claiming they're things like Hurricane Katrina, etc.

This will either make you happy or sad, but he's been repeatedly referred to on Fark as "Fark's official stormchaser". He's got a login on there, and someone sponsored him to be a TotalFarker for a while. I know he's posted a few times, mostly "thank you" type messages. As someone who lives outside of the realm of stormchasing (there's really not a lot to do in the Los Angeles area), his site is the pure weather thrill that I so crave. My fiancee can attest to this, the last time we saw a lightning flash, I opened every window in our apartment (we've got 5 in the living room alone) to watch. We didn't see any more, but I watched the skies for about 30 minutes. My occasional visits to the Phoenix area, where some of my extended family live, are one of my simple pleasures in life.

Yep. If you like weather, Nebraska is the epicenter of the universe. You all might also like this Nebraska storm chasers blog: Backing Winds. 2006 was one of the worst years in history for severe weather enthusiasts, but you might like: April 23rd and May 26th. (both in Kansas, as it happens).

This guy is from my hometown, and I'm pretty sure he went out with my sister a couple of times. I've been impressed with his weather pics for a while; and he always makes me feel bad for constantly saying that there was no art to be made in Blair, NE.
