Please throw this away! Vintage photo collector finds cache of 1950s-era spanking fetish photos. Collection included newspaper clippings about spanking and a letter from a very naughty girl. Most of the images are pretty innocent by modern standards, but at the bottom of the last link some are NSFW. Enjoy!

I have to agree that the spanking photos are not the best part of this amazing site (I have many old photos around, framed, because of their peculiar beauty). However, those spanking photos did give me an idea of how to fix the internet.

That's so strange; they really look like my parents in the '60s; the glasses, the dresses. Including the interior decorations. Not the spanking though. At least; as far as I know. Interesting Buddha; your Iranian family shapshots, they look so familiar to me, a dutchman. Reminds me of Satrapi.

jouke: I think that's what I like so much about them. I was born and raised in the USA and those family photos have a universal quality about them. Doesn't matter where in the world you're from, most people with a certain amount of wealth lead more or less the same kinds of lives.

Guess 'The British Disease' isn't just for the British after all. Since when has spanking been a disease? British or otherwise? Google lists all manner of things as the British disease -- hooliganism, binge drinking, snobbery -- but no sign of spanking.

Since when has spanking been a disease? British or otherwise? It's a figure of speech — and a fairly old one, from what I can tell. "English" seems to be associated with caning, and sadomasochism in general, in much the same joking way as "Greek" is associated with homosexuality and anal sex.

Ya know, I was at the flea market where Nick found these photos. I saw them befrore he did but took a pass on them. Normally I'd buy em in a heartbeat but they were in a boxlot that was really really moldy. I mean they stunk to all high heaven. (note to self, next time just buy em)
