Ma'am, we've traced the IP and he's blogging from your WiFi.

Yeah. I've put in the zip code for SoMa in San Francisco, and got no results. Come on.

The promise in this post sounds good but the site doesnt deliver unless I'm missing something. I typed in zip 94110, which is pretty much an internet hotbed here in San Francisco and all I got was some news clippings from the Chronicle and 0 events.

The site launched less than a week ago. Did you find something good to read there that you'd like to share? I can't find any content anywhere near here.

It's actually a pretty cool site if you stick to one of the few demo neighborhoods that have tons of data. I wrote about it here and the guy behind the site wrote about it here, explaining the thinking behind the site.

I got something with my ZIP code, but not with my city name.

This is a nice idea.

I found a blog for the guy three doors down who set up the coolest Haunted House last night for our trick-o-treaters. It's a cooking blog.

Called: "To Serve CHILDREN!!!!"

Nooooooooooo!

I think I live in the most boring neighborhood in NYC (10028).

I dunno nowonmai, 10034 is a good competitor for that award. Still, it's a pretty nice idea.

Looks like they're in serious ramp-up mode and still need submissions.

My city, with over 100,000 people, has no entry.

My zip code, less than 10 miles from the massive state university, elicited one entry on a Korean restaurant.

Maybe check back in a few months once it's developed a bit.

Cool concept. No content for my zip either; guess I'll have to fix that. (Because really who has a better grasp on things than me? Don't answer that.)

Obviously it needs to reach a critical mass, but the basic idea seems like a good one to me. A really good one. it would be nice if metafilter members with blogs took part: maybe it could go on the sidebar or something as a "link into this system if you want, members" thing.

Lincoln Park Chicago Interesting idea. Would help all the AskMeFi folks on the green who are wondering what to do in Chicago this weekend. Or any citytownvillage whenever.

I put in my zip code and found that human remains were discovered just outside my building (JohnnyGunn, I'm just south of you...) Creepy.

Yeah, I think it's supposed to be participatory. More people need to sign up before it's something cool.

Good idea - there's got to be something interesting going on here (06810). But what?

I love the idea, and I'm looking forward to seeing it grow. One cool feature is that if you zoom out on the Google map, you'll get more results because you're including a larger area of whatever city you're looking at.
