My 5yr old has declared he either wants to be a Mythbuster when he grows up or Mike Rowe from Dirty Jobs. He doesn't want to be on TV. He just thinks that what they do is so cool. Keep in mind that two years ago, he declared Norm from This Old House was his favorite. Norm now pales next to Jaime and Adam. Thanks for the diversion from work!

I love mythbusters. It's so much easier to learn stuff when the educators make the process FUN. I have learned tons of science and math from mythbusters that I didn't pick up (when it was being crammed into my head from a book) in grade school, middle school, high school, or college just because the entire crew on mythbusters make it interesting, entertaining, and genuinely seem to have a good time with it.

Mythbusters makes science cool again and for that, I thank them. But I want more Adam and Jamie. Actually, I just want more Adam. And I also love that they read their email and respond and, when they called to the mat for busting a myth that others have proven, they try it again. That's cool! And they blow stuff up, alot!

Object to seeing a bare-assed Adam Savage? Why, sirrah, I demand it! I must say, if there's any show which would be most likely to have an entertaining blooper reel, it'd be mythbusters. Adam and Jamie are not Burt and Dom. They use explosives, and science, and explosives, and scuba gear. Also explosives. Lotsa fun.

Here I ham! Some of that has been on TV. I've got hours of stuff that (unfortunately) won't ever see the light of day. I'm glad for the nice mefi reception, on slashdot they seem to trash me every chance they get (sniff, sniff). The naked disclaimer was one of the first disclaimers we ever shot in early 2003. T'was my idea. We've done tons since then that won't see airtime, most often : "don't try this at home UNLESS you have your own tv show..." I haven't been able to figure out how that specific blooper reel made it out. It's not one of mine.

Gave me something (else) to smile about this fine morning. The Chinese have a similar program to Mythbusters, but really it is not nearly as good or fun. I do miss it so!

Popular Ethics, I'm pretty sure Kari sprayed him with Binaca or some-such similar breath spray and he was having a bit of fun. Though if I am wrong and there is some kind of wonderful, orally administered sedative that can take someone down that quick with no ill effects, I have many pets, co-workers, friends and the occasionally recalcitrant wife who will be less than thrilled at my discovering it.
