I would think that if a guy could afford to go tooling off to Tokyo, regardless of the reason, that he wouldn't have too much trouble finding a little companionship.

But just like any hoax, there is a grain of truth to it. There are plenty of women in Japan (and almost any East Asian country) who are just attracted to Western guys and don't require much more than that from a boyfriend/lover. However, a website like this is not the way they would go about meeting Western guys. If a Japanese woman merely wanted a quick hook-up, she would just head down to Roppongi or Nova Language School and find scores of willing partners. I might have believed this website if she was looking for something more than a short-term sex partner (a soul mate or something), but an attractive single young woman, especially in the Tokyo area, would have no need to advertise on the web for it.
Thus, I am guessing that this site is either:
1. harvesting email addresses for spam
2. an experiment designed to investigate Asian fetishes
3. a way to embarrass a lot of people by someday posting their ridiculous emails and pictures
4. someone who is trying to get nude pictures of men
5. a bored American teenage boy who is just messing with people

Sad thing is, when I read the text of the website to the spouse (a prof at a women's university here in central Japan) he rattled off the names of at least ten of his students who could have easily penned this offer.
The only reason we both find it unbelievable is that none of them would have (had to have) gone to the trouble.
