"Because in the end..." One of the most insightful, engaging, and well written sites (not to mention the one that got plenty of us blogging in the first place) stops updating, at least for the near future; the tear-jerker of a last entry touches on so many things- relationships, art, emotions, careers, etc - it perfectly encapsulates so much of what made the page great. We'll miss you, Jack Saturn.

That being said, I can't wait for the book.

jack is jack. More completely and consistently himself than most folks I know. For that, for his writing, for his design sense, for not being easy, he has my respect. Thanks for the electrons, jack. Let's see them atoms now.

It can be painful, but it's good to see someone embrace growth and change and risk. It might be the spirit of things these days.

That's very well written. I have a lot of respect for his sentiments. It's hard coming up with material all the time; and I've only been blogging for a matter of months. I know that if it becomes a chore for me, I'll hang it up until it's fun again. I can't believe he did that only a week after I wrote my parody/homage of his site. (Yes, it's self-bloggage. Ignore it if that offends you) Do what you want, and have fun with it.
