Obviously a lot of effort, but not to the greatest effect. Star Wars and Hunter Thompson were never likely to meld well, regardless of how much overlap may exist among their appreciators.

So, something like this can either work or not. In this case, not. What tylermoody said.
Personally, I could tell you seconds into it just how bad it was going to be by the writing of the first line. It was dumb and thus all that followed were dumb. And it was slow. We lingered on the people who did it for WAY too long at the beginning, which is never a good sign.

I long for the days when animation was difficult and costly.
We'd have to go before the invention of paper, because a stack of paper and something to write with is all it takes.
When I was a kid we used to be able to pick out free books under the Reading is Fundamental (RIF) program and I used to pick out the largest ones because they made for better flip-book animations.

It was nice that he tried to mimic Ralph Steadman's art style. Even succeeded, a little bit.
