Roger Eagle is one of the great, unsung heroes of the British music scene. Over a period of twenty five years or so, he was responsible for not one, not two, but three legendary music venues, each of which defined their particular era. Still fondly remembered.

weird. i just re-read julian cope's autobiography, and roger (not to mention eric's) is a prominent figure in the first volume, head-on.

Nice one, Peter. Gigs at the Stadium - I always thought it was the best gig in the country, I seem to remember Lemmy saying that the Stadium and Glasgow Apollo were his favourites. And usually less than a quid - great days.
