Heli-Africa - Wildlife photographer Michael Poliza's photo journal from a just completed 2 month helicopter tour from Hamburg to Cape Town. These are a few samples to potentially whet the appetite.

Wow, some spectacular work here, peacay - thanks. I have been following this photographer on flickr, where he has a huge gallery. You pulled an awesome sampling - love the hippo one very much! His primary site also has a gorgeous slide show, and be sure to check his favorites from his portfolio.

Lovely photos, awful interface. I can't find any way to click through the images one after another to actuallly, you know, enjoy them.

Amazing pictures, although as twsf notes, pain in the a$$ to look through. Still a fantastic find though.

Definitely some impressive work. I really like the [checks the collective nouns page] huddle of hippos from the 'samples' link.

One thing that's interesting, in several of the photos, I have no idea what I'm looking at. Without a point of reference, it might as well be macro photography.

And as an aspiring photographer, I took perverse pleasure that this shot is crooked. It pleased me to no end to know that even people who are far more skilled than I have this happen to them as well.

Nice find! I don't think I've ever seen a collection quite like this.

It's interesting to compare his two sets on Flickr: "Your Favorites" and "My Very Own favoirtes". My favorite so far is this one.

Thanks madamjujujive (I should have that expression in a shortcut)- I wasn't aware of his flickr account. Some awesome stuff in there.
Was the site that bad to negotiate? I was just ctrl-clicking, loading up a whole bunch of tabs while continuing to read and search further in the diary. There are far, far worse - that is for certain.
