Bobby Knight ties Dean Smith for all-time career wins record. Smith still holds lead for political activism, but woefully behind in assaults. Meanwhile, those irrepressible scamps at Duke (scroll down to “Retirement”) and Carolina have taken their court side antics to Wikipedia.

This post was deleted for the following reason: links to wikipedia pranks that wind up pointing to repaired pages confuse people. Otherwise this might be better on sportsfilter, or maybe here with a little more information and a little less agenda.

"Smith still holds lead for political activism, but woefully behind in assaults."

Is this an op-ed?

Apparently Huplescat thinks that Wikipedia vandalism is permanent. Whatever those irrepressible scamps had done has been repressed.

They replaced Smith's name with "Ballsack." Ho, ho.

Well, by golly Plutor, I just re-booted and you’re right. That stuff isn’t permanent. On the Dean Smith site they’ve repaired the substitution of Ballsack for Smith and everything on the Krzyzewski site now looks perfectly legitimate:
“His well-known nickname is the rat because he constantly screams at anything that goes against Duke. Most fanbases outside of Duke cannot stand him because of his classless behavior on the court. The rumor was said to be that one time a team might actually put cheese on the court so he would be distracted throughout the game.”

yeah, but john wooden of ucla still ran up more national titles than bobby knight and dean smith put together. how about that game yesterday, 92-55 over michigan? that there is an ass whuppin. go bruins!

The links they do confuse me. A link of "Duke" to Dean Smith? A link of "Carolina" (um, North, I assume) that points to Coach K?

Go Terps!

34 wins ahead of Knight? Pat Summitt. Or by 'wins' do we only mean men's wins? I'm just sayin'.

This FPP is sort of nutty to be honest. I blame the Christmas-eve drinking.
