"One entrance featured Sudo doing the robot and operating levers that released a column of smoke from the top of his head while wearing a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket as a hat and a white plastic mask, in an homage to the musician, Buckethead."

What? I never did get professional wrestling/boxing/whatever-this-guy-does, and your FPP isn't helping. Since when is a KFC bucket homage‽ Huh?

Sudo fights Mixed Martial Arts. Here's a primer.

You can see the Buckethead homage on the highlight reel I posted.

I've always liked this video, though he clearly outclasses everyone there. He was a pro by then, and I'm assuming these guys were all amateurs.

I watched this live last night, and it was quite a spectacle. He entered in full Mayan garb with a whole bunch of dancers, and they did a five or six minute performance that I would think would tire you out before a big fight. The announcers seemed to think that it was his way of warming up for the fight. Anyway, the fight was so so, but Sudo won. Then in his post-fight speech, he simply announced that he was moving on to other things and that his last fight of the year would be his last fight period. And then he left. The audience seemingly didn't know how to react. Even the announcers were at a loss for words. It seemed like they weren't expecting anyone to say anything important in their post-fighty comments, and weren't really paying attention, because they weren't quite sure that they had understood him correctly.

My favorite sign on the bathroom wall read "I'm still here, you bastards!"

Other'n me, the room looked empty. Of course, it was an "Irish Pub".

mragreeable: that 4th match is crazy. He's just schooling that kid.

A similarly entertaining (although not nearly as dominating) fighter is the boxer Emanuel Augustus, the best fighter with 27 loses that you've ever seen (he's been the victim of a lot of bad decisions and his own lack of focus, but he's fun to watch).

Always thought that was an amazing clip - he makes more guys tap in 5 mins than I do in a year :(

I reckon the title of most entertaining fighter has moved to
Buakaw.

Jesus, that Buakaw is evil with his feet! But, I don't think he has anywhere near the showmanship of Genki.

This is not a good way to start out the new year. I miss his antics already.

Google? I've heard of that..isn't that the low-end, we-don't-know-HTML-so-our-home-page-is-white search engine put together by college students? eh, I'll see what it can do.
