Yup - a worthwhile pursuit. As if there wasn't enough confusion for all the poor netnewbs with spoofed sites and the like, now we have to spoof their searches. I definitely say Meh. With the help of an IT peon, I once redirected 1/3 of the office workstations' google searches to a page that displayed one of three "your search cannot be completed" google-esque pages that gave various reasons; the most successful suggested that the block of IP addresses in question was under investigation in a criminal investigation. This worked best, as some targets went to neighbors to try searching on their machine, and were successful -- suggesting it was the IP address of the target only that was under investigation. Good times, good times. One person didn't have the nerve to say anything to anyone, and only (finally!) timidly asked the IT person to look into it two months later -- and had just skipped googling for the duration.
