Never go skiing with a mobile phone. Or rather never try to search for persons burried in an avalanche with your mobile phone turned on. Sad but true.

The Londoner is identified by name, the German by profession, and all we need to know about the other guy is that he's Mexican. What kind of hierarchy is this?

Whew, for a second there I thought Sudama *wasn't* going to inject some kind of racism/classism issue into an otherwise unrelated topic. But there it is, sure as the sunrise.

The German was "identified" by his profession? The article called him a businessman. This is tantamount to calling him an oxygen-breather or "guy with two arms."

Sudama, there's no implicit denigration in the term "Mexican" if the subject is, in fact, Mexican. Unless you really want to find it.

Yeah, you "American."
(or whatever)

I just thought it was an interesting example of cultural bias -- and poor journalism.
