Thanks! A bunch of stuff I kind of knew but didn't know I knew or didn't have terms for. "Tangents" especially - the unwelcome connection of an outline in the background with an unrelated outline in the foreground. These bedeviled me for years until I learned to watch out for them.

Carson Van Osten also played bass in Todd Rundgren's old group The Nazz. Talented guy!
