[spoiler alert]:
But, wouldn't anybody say right away that it had been a film about penguins?
C'est ridicule, ca.
posted by Flashman at 10:31 AM on January 16, 2007

I would pay to see that movie. Possibly without the sex part, but the rest of it looked pretty good.
posted by Hogshead at 10:32 AM on January 16, 2007

Why was the tagline at the end in English?

Or does "Movies were meant to be seen" mean, in French, "Napoleon was kind of short?" Kind of like "shoe" means "cabbage?"

To anyone who may complain about a single link to youtube post: Ta mère!
posted by Dataphage at 3:30 PM on January 16, 2007

Bof!

Um, you do realize that's the French equivalent of "So what?" or (in internet terms) "Meh," right? Is that what you meant to say?

posted by languagehat at 3:37 PM on January 16, 2007

The real genius here is in recognizing just how cuuuuuuute those little emperors are!

I was anticipating a stinky raw fish dénouement, not sex, but I forgot this was Frog.

languagehat yes I did... it was me attempting to be silly after the general escalation of francophone praise above but it obviously didn't really work, so I shall skulk away and sit in the corner. And yes I know I got the gender and spelling of pingouin wrong too, before you ask... (French lessons seem a long time ago)

I think it would make a great, funny series, visuals of people talking about movies or anything and misunderstanding each other.
