I do enjoy reading Bear McCreary's blog. He's the composer for the new Battlestar Galactica series. Usually there's some pretty good insight into his whole process for creating a score and what he tries to bring to the table.

Of course there's some portfolio stuff at his main site.

He wrote the score for Gattaca.
