No accounting for taste, and all, but I'm still sort of sad that this post has only 2 comments while the NASCAR thread has dozens. The spiraled images are using the "Droste Effect" Escherization formula, about which much is here. If this animation doesn't make you a little queasy, you have a stout constitution indeed.

I'm still sort of sad that this post has only 2 comments while the NASCAR thread has dozens. Metafilter is renowned for not talking so much about things that they really enjoy just looking at, a form of Warnock's Dilemma. Safe to assume it's appreciated.

Sadly we live in a culture where "diffeomorphisms" are strange weird things that only mathematicians and/or other weirdos get a kick while the idea of putting a person in a moving wheeled box and driving at unsafe speeds is to be exalted.
