Impressive, Hoopz. Your dribbling has gotten much better in the past few weeks.

Tales of Game's Studios Presents Chef Boyardee's Barkley, Shut Up and Jam: Gaiden, Chapter 1 of the Hoopz Barkley SaGa. [youtube trailer] disclaimer: I haven't actually played it. The title & idea alone seemed amusing enough for it to be worthwhile posting.

That plus I just wanted to use the b-ballnacht tag.

Actually the video's nothing exciting aside from the gloriously cheezy music.

The music was good. Also, the fact that the currency of the future is the NEOSHEKEL: ✡

2053 was a rough year for everyone.

This is awesome. I had to go and download the RPG Maker 2003 software to play it, though. And it doesn't run too well under Parallels. Still awesome.

This follows in a long line of tangentially-realted B-Ball games such as Shaq-Fu, Michael Jordan's Chaos in the Windy City, and Bill Laimbeer's Combat Basketball, but this is the first B-ball RPG I've ever seen.

Parallells is the stupidest software name ever.

I hope the game has a stage featuring a footrace between Barkley and a boss named Bavetta (YouTube). (Full event; for context, you can watch more of the related clips.)

I worked on the label for a canned pasta called "Shaquille O'Meal" many years ago. The pasta came in ball and hoop shapes. The label was obnoxiously colorful. I don't remember if it was made by Chef Boyardee though.

Ok, having just come from the CGI Korean actress thread, I read the above as "...Presents Chef Boyardee Valley", and I had to pause to wonder about the uncanny valley of near-perfect artificial meats.

I'm envisioning that this will be shown on Inside the NBA some time soon, but I don't know whether Barkley's reaction will be amusement or litigation.
