Enriched uranium unearthed from man's garden A German man obtained and buried it in his garden, raising concerns about the security of Germany's nuclear reactors. The German version of the article is more funny, since he explains how he tried to convince the authorities for 15 years that he had enriched uranium in his garden...

How does one say, "Oh my god! There's enriched uranium in my garden!" in German? Or Swedish? Greek? Swahili? Visigothic? Esperanto? Klingon?

Maybe he could give his uranium to Kim Jong Ill, since it turns out he doesn't have any.

"Funny" is perhaps not the rightest word. Turns out that the guy is an (ex?)-junkie, who has been sent quite a few times to psychiatric institutions (not least because of his insistence that he had "radioactive stuff" buried in his garden, and that he got the uranium-pellets (which originated from a nuclear fuel treatment factory) from "an acquaintance in the drug scene".

"Incredibly sad" and "abso-bloody-lutely terrifying" may be more to the point...

I can only imagine what you expected to take place in the thread for your first post, yoyo_nyc, but it probably wasn't this.

The pellets were enriched to a level of around four per cent, well below the weapons-grade threshold of 80-90 per cent.
Though wikipedia says a crude weapon would work with 20% or maybe less. Four percent could scare some folks with a dirty bomb I suppose.

But this might be more appropriate:
