Bugs Bunny: Eh, what's up, dogs?
Dog #1: What is it?
Dog #2: Hey, maybe it's a gy-raffe, the gy-raffe!
Spike: Nah, that ain't no gy-raffe. A gy-raffe's got a long neck like this
[Pulls on Bugs' neck]
Spike: Hey, fellows, it's a rabbit.
Dog #1: Oh, a rabbit.
Spike: Dog pile on the rabbit!
Dogs: [as they all jump on top of Bugs] Dog pile on the rabbit! Dog pile on the rabbit! Dog pile on the rabbit!...
Bugs Bunny: [Hopping on top of the dog pile] Dog pile on the rabbit! Dog pile on the rabbit! Dog pile on the rabbit!
This is what I think of every time I hear the word "giraffe." Every time. posted by jessenoonan at 9:00 PM on March 3, 2007 [4 favorites]
Damn, but that Bugs episode is the epitome of *classic*. Wish there was some channel - any channel - that still showed the Looney Tunes, like the Cartoon Network used to years ago... posted by davidmsc at 9:03 PM on March 3, 2007
Giraffe is scary?

davidmsc, I would bet that Boomerang shows stuff like that, but I'm not sure, and it might not be available in your area. posted by luftmensch at 9:32 PM on March 3, 2007
I once dated a girl who listed amongst her many phobias (to which she would react violently to): dinosaurs, comically large items that are normally small (pencils, eating utensils, etc.), and palm trees.

The giraffs at my tiny local zoo are friendly, and like being petted. Hurds of giraffs in the wild are extremely beautiful. I can't imagine anyone finding them frightening. posted by Goofyy at 12:53 AM on March 5, 2007
