Awesome. Maybe I'm just a picky jerk, though, because I was disappointed that the rug's eyes, nose and claws weren't also made of candy. I mean, really, how hard would it have been to make that sucker entirely edible? posted by Faint of Butt at 7:31 AM on March 9, 2007

I really want to eat that ram sculpture. No, seriously. posted by miss lynnster at 7:52 AM on March 9, 2007
That chandelier is sexy.
The bear needs some work. And yeah, if this was art school crit, the eyes and nails not candy ??? posted by R. Mutt at 7:58 AM on March 9, 2007
If I were an artist working in the medium of gummi, I would have no works to display. They would all be in my belly.
I heart gummy anything. Especially muscat gummies. posted by SassHat at 8:20 AM on March 9, 2007
That chandelier is fantastic. I really like the slow grading of the colors.
And as decorative candy goes, its much more attractive than the decapitated peep-chick that my cube-mate used to display from our window. posted by janell at 8:32 AM on March 9, 2007

I'm so going to do something like this for my next party! For Halloween, we had a coffin with a "corpse" and we did all of the inner bits with alcoholic jello, but this will be a little less creepy for those people not really into vodka laced strawberry livers. posted by dejah420 at 9:57 AM on March 9, 2007
Bizarre and likeable. Weird to see the Joy-Coated on melting here and there. Gummi Bears are intriguing with their want-to-squeeze-them pliable translucence and gem colors. I can see the allure.
Wow. I totally want a gummi bear chandelier now. posted by grapefruitmoon at 6:47 PM on March 9, 2007
I don't know if a food's ability to withstand two years of anything is something we should be happy about.
Yummy artwork though. I wonder how many pieces have been started and then had to be abandoned because the artist just couldn't resist having a bite. posted by inconsequentialist at 7:30 PM on March 9, 2007

I wondered this too. Thinking about it, if I were to make food art, I would use rhubarb as my medium. It's nice and pretty and I fucking hate the way it tastes. posted by grapefruitmoon at 7:44 PM on March 9, 2007
I was doing some work procrastinating todya, and chanced on this great bubble gum art - this thread seems like a great place to share it! posted by madamjujujive at 11:01 AM on March 10, 2007
