Max Q, named after the aeronautical engineering term, is the only astronaut rock band (but not the only musical astronauts). Not to be confused with the barbershop quartet.

Or to be confuesed with the awesome 1989 side project of the late great Michael Hutchence.

Or with either of Max Power or Rembrandt Q Einstein.

I really like that 89 Max Q.
Even have it on my iPod.
At the time (I was 15) it felt like a big leap into "electronic" music for me. Now it just seems like good altpop.

I've seen this band every year for the past ten years. Of all the bands I've seen more than once this band consistently delivers a sense of fun to the crowd. Good covers and for the most part they play well together.

Of course, I live next to NASA, so it's easy to see them. Still, cool article and thanks for the FPP.
