I've become quite prodigious since receiving a small Etch-a-Sketch in my xmas stocking a few years back. When I'm home I'll try to must a few photos together. I usually take requests and whip something up in a few minutes. My favourites are Egyptian sceneries because of the challenge doing the pyramids.

Off-topic, but is there any reason why Flickr is so damned slow? Whenever anybody posts a Flickr link, I always feel dread, because I know I'll have to wait 10-20 seconds for absolutely anything to happen.

For some reason the more angular ones are more impressive to me. The portraits are generally just unsettling. Then again, I think if I managed to draw two diagonal lines parallel to each other on an etch-a-sketch, the theme to "Rocky" would start booming from the sky.

I used to work with Keith Drake, linked above as "Wanderline". For our first wedding anniversary a few years ago, I commissioned him to do an Etch-a-Sketch rendering of one of our favorite photographs from the wedding. He did a kick ass job. Keith is a good guy, and very talented.

That is so cool - did I miss the part where etcha said how he "drains" the etch-a-sketches so he can keep the image permanently? When I was a kid I used to fill up my etch-a-sketch with straight lines, so I could eventually see the little pointy thing that drew the lines. Then I would shake it, and start again.
