The heart of the TeRK is the robot controller, called Qwerk, available from the Charmed Labs Web site ($349)... Be afraid. Nah, I'm just gonna' let Sigourney Weaver loose on 'em.

This is a really great idea, but why not just use ITX boards that can be had for <$115? Even with a power supply and case they're at least $200 less, more powerful and very extensible. Yes the motor and servo controllers on the qwerk are nice, but unless the price difference for a USB alternative to them exceeds the price difference this is quite an expensive piece of hardware.
