wow. What an interesting eyeful of strange and disturbing art. Thanks for this post drezdn. Elegantly beautiful Sarina Brewer has such an aloof, touch of dominatrix look, on her bio page. It's an odd contrast with the images of her emotionally jagged work. In the adult children of narcissists' recovery forums one phrase for a person who aids and abets a pathological narcissist in delivering painful messages is flying monkey. This taxidermy sculpture is such a great visual for that.

Her work is definitely pretty cool. I also like it that she doesn't think it right to kill animals for her purposes - I think I remember a post a couple weeks ago of some guy doing that. Very interesting. At the same time, what a crazy thing to do. What would you say to someone who did this for a living? Imagine her doing it - pulling apart roadkill and reassembling it. I mean, that's warped. Oh well, more power to her.

At the same time, what a crazy thing to do. What would you say to someone who did this for a living? Alex404 About ten blocks down from me is an artist who paints the portraits of women in menstrual blood. All I did was smile and nod while she prattled away over dinner about the social importance of work. That and made damn sure I washed my hands a couple hundred times.
