Atlanta officers guilty

Two Atlanta officers plead guilty to manslaughter in killing of 92-year-old woman in a no-knock marijuana raid. Officers also admitted planting 3 bags of grass in the house after the killing.

Instructive to read the comments in the second link (MeFi reactions from months ago) based on what the story was then. For example, the "three shots" she got off apparently turned out to be one shot, through a door.

I agree, Twang. Many of the comments condemning the lady in the initial thread were based on "facts" that have since been shown to be untrue. It was chilling to read that they planted drugs and now aren't even sure the drug dealer they were looking for even exists.

No one's expecting you to search for 20 minutes, but maybe a second search with different terms isn't that much to ask. "no-knock" turns up the previous thread as the third result. (Although it is kinda odd that the word "Atlanta" doesn't appear in the previous thread at all.)
