I remember around when this was completed there were tons of commercials for it on Japanese tv. I was really looking forward to seeing it from the Shinkansen but either I didn't, or it was so unmemorable that I've since forgotten seeing it. The commercials were neat though.

Interesting. Any info on what it's output is equivalent to? Wikipedia seems to have nothing on the Solar Arc.

To Any Portmanteau: if you passed it within several miles you would've been freaked out. I used to live fairly near it and it's a sight to behold.
