Firefox Print Woes

I'm using FF (2.0.0.3). It often prints in tiny type and cuts off the second page of text. The print size is inconsistent. About half the time, it's the same as it appears on the screen. Other times it's half the size. In comparison, Internet Explorer always prints the same size as the screen. How do I control the type size? Also, where the page is complex, FF prints the text only down through the bottom of the first printed page and drops the rest. For example, if I try to print out Terry Teachout's blog, I get a first page that has only the title, a second page that has only the first page of text (down to "In the end, I found this "Orfeo" disappointing, full...," plus the top 10% of the enxt line, plus the side blurbs.
