I just want to say that this quote from the site...

"One of the first big budget animations of the Superman comic..."

... is way off. The Fleischer Studios Superman series was decidedly not "budget". It was state-of-the-art in its day, and excellently done. Don't dis Max and Dave, y'all!

Ahhh! So quick was I to assume the worst! (Bad habit of mine) I just now saw the "big" in that quote. They were giving props to the Fleischers all along. I have a suspicious mind. That is all.

So these are user/amateur subtitling efforts, right? There are a few well-known databases of those on a language-by-language level as well - at least I know a few Dutch ones.

I have found, however, that most user translations (EN-NL anyway) are absolute pants, and that doing it yourself (and making some sort of effort in the process) takes a pantsload of time.

(I'm sorta kinda halfway doing the Dutch one for Huckabees, because I adore the film and detest the Dutch subs I found.)
