The Criterion ones were great, and the poster for Roadhouse was genius.

Some of those are pretty cool.

I can feel the pathos in the Düde, Wo Ist Mein Auto? poster. I love the stylised empty parking lot.

Putting "The Criterion Collection" on the 300 poster was brilliant.

The ones that don't pull it off use pics from the movies. I think it's entirely possible to make Zoolander look serious, but not when Ben Stiller is wearing that headband in the poster.

Not as good as the "Grindhouse" thread, but good.

so i recently meant an SA goon (no really! in the flesh!), who invited me to join his community. I, for my part and being a longtime SA fan, did the same saying, hey! check out the mefi!

I think we should try and set up an exchange program. We've almost completely killed off the bevets and their like. what we need is a fresh infusion of smart assholes. can you think of a better source?

all the filligree on the Bad Taste poster made me smile but what really made me laugh was White Chicks. Weak visual puns tickle me when I'm sleep deprived.

Holy shit, the Barb Wire one is awesome!

Fabulous. SA is killing me with these two sets.

On the whole these aren't nearly as convincing as the grindhouse posters (although I second the awesomeness of Barb Wire and Dude, Wo ist Mein Auto?). Either the cliches of arthouse posters just aren't as easily satirized, or the goons spend a lot more time at sleazy movies.

Have you ever wondered if there was more to life... than being really, really, ridiculously good looking?
