Hilarious post. Man oh man, falling, submerged in fish poop. nnngggg. And then, topped off with a Weird Meat (love that site!) link to bowls of green 'noodles' that end up being fish poo. Reminds me of the ancient childhood song, Great green gobs of stinky slimy... Yeah, I thought ambergris was whale vomit too but they're not sure which end it comes out, since it has a strong fecal stink when it's fresh. Heirloom whale barf. Just last night I was perusing the Weid Meat Master List. Incredible. But I'm still squicked-to-the-max about the video of eating giant, hairy, black spiders in Cambodia.

I'd like to point out that the "fish shit" in the Weird Meat / Fish Shit link is actually just a type of seaweed called lokot (which I've eaten a lot of in my day). He updates the post but still gets it wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if the Cebuanos were pulling an "LOL IT'S FISH POOP" on the Weird Meat Guy to see if he would still eat it.

So, just to clarify: Ambergris is whale vomit, but it probably comes out of the whale's ass rather than its mouth, and people used to use it in perfume and jewelry, and some still use it as an aphrodisiac. I guess that puts it in the same category as eggs—if you think about where it comes from, you won't want it any more.
