I don't think I'd be able to post many updates on an account if I had one, unless people needed to be reminded every day that I'm still doing the same person. A more interesting question might be: What are you doing with the person you are doing?

why do all the hyperlinks on that page point back to said page?

Cuz it's a joke?

How's about:

What aren't you allowed to do with the person you are doing but would like to?

delmoi: because they were too lazy to expand their parody to multiple pages. See also: getafirstlife.com, for example.

lodev, I thought you were really going somewhere with that comment starting with talk and finger.

The Internet has completed it's evolution from crude local network to worldwide electronic men's room wall.

I don't believe in the internet anymore.

Weird visuals. On my LCD screen there is an illusion that those blue links are floating above the page. Most likely unintended.
posted by bhouston at 11:42 AM on May 14, 2007

I think the visual strangeness has to do with the text for the blue links being offset down just slightly or something like that when rendered in FireFox.

Wow, there's people I know on the sex chart. Heh.

I was expecting something more like Twittervision but with twats. Like, you take a cell phone picture of some twat on the bus and send it to your friends like, "dude, check out this twat."

That's how the trip always starts.

If this is the best of the web, then jonmc is right.

"worldwide electronic men's room wall."

I was thinking "port-a-potty wall" myself.

There's a port-a-potty I know of in San Jose where people have actually written paragraphs answering back to the gang graffiti.

Only in the Silicon Valley.

I wonder if the same people who give a free pass to government requirements for tracking their movements (cameras, RFID IDs, wiretapping, etc.) because they're "not doing anything wrong, and so have nothing to hide" would also give a free pass to this sort of thing if it were a government requirement (and of course real instead of a silly web joke.)

After all, if you're not ashamed of the people you're sleeping with, and not committing adultery or something else that's questionable, why shouldn't you freely provide this information? As a tool for tracking sexually-transmitted diseases it would be a boon, after all, plus citizens would be much better informed about the people their potential partners have slept with (at last bringing accurate data to the idea of "when you sleep with one person, you're sleeping with everyone else they've ever slept with.")

Plus, it'd be pretty obvious to see who the prostitutes are.

(also, I'm surprised there aren't a whole lot of people posting 'your mother.')
