Who would win a fight between a pride of lions, a herd of buffalo, and a couple crocodiles?

Tourists visiting Kruger National Park witnessed the answer to this hypothetical first hand, and fortunately captured it on video.

Not seeing the title on the MeFi front page, I was expecting footage of a bear shitting in the woods.

Bah, the search box on the upper right is fairly worthless. Should have used tag search. Flagged.

Yes, but does the Pope do it in the woods too?

Those animals at it AGAIN? Can't they all just get along?

It still doesn't answer the zombie versus robot question.

Not seeing the title on the MeFi front page,

Yeah, Manjusri, I see this is your first post and all, so you probably didn't really think of this, but for the future you should keep in mind that people won't see your post title first, and if you refer to your post title in your headline, as you've done here, it probably won't make much sense to people when they first read the headline. Good luck with your next post, though!

Wake me up when they film a polar bear fighting a great white shark.

I definitely shit in the woods.

Did anyone else get the impression that there was a disinterested teenager playing a handheld video game in the background?

There's all these beeping noises, and the man and woman sound like they're selling the experience really hard to someone who isn't interested.

I really love the way they say "baby."

Naw I was just kidding. This is awesome. Too bad it's apparently a double, because I hadn't seen it before.

I'm so glad I'm not a baby Wildebeest stuck between a pride of lions and a really really big croc.

Though some days baby, some days that's just how I feel.

Yah, but that baby buffalo got away! Though it will be lucky to survive all the injuries it received. Imagine the stories it could tell to it's kids....

Lions are not terribly aerodynamic.

Not seeing the title on the MeFi front page

Am I the only one who thought, "Finally, bear versus monkey!"?

SassHat - the bleeping noise is the CB radio (or similar) in the truck. It bleeps whenever anyone releases the talk button.

Yep, I too actually clicked thinking it was a bear in the woods defecation video... what does that say about me..? damn...

I'm glad it's a double, because I wanted to see it again, and I hate scrolling

The scene got my hopes up -- Africa, river, crocodiles, lions -- but, unfortunately, no missionaries crossing a river with cannibals were involved.

GO BUFFALO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also what's with post answering a question you can't see on the front page? Tsk tsk
posted by phaedon at 6:24 AM on May 23, 2007

I was hoping the second time around the crocs would get more involved.

Lions, buffalumps & crocs? Pshaw! The real hypothetical everyone's been waiting for is lion vs. shark. Who would win that, you might ask? Whoever has the home field advantage, that's who.

Well, it's no monkey knife fight, but it'll do.
