Alex cf is a young British artist, fresh off of a series of extremely creepy visualizations of Alice in Wonderland characters. His current project is creating amazing looking HP Lovecraft inspired nightmares in specimen jars, which he is more than happy to build on commission.

This needs to be done with Sid and Marty Croft characters.

The Alice illustrations really reminded me of Ralph Steadman's work. Then I found out that Steadman has illustrated an edition of Alice and that the drawings didn't look anything like these.

the alice one reminded me of the line of Wizard of Oz line that Todd McFarlane did. Also mentioned one the blue.

Intriguing, but John Tenniel's original illustrations are already plenty creepy enough in their unique Victorian way. I mean, come on ..... the March Hare looks like an opium fiend.

If I had a zillion dollars I'd so commission a box filled with Cthnonic goodness as a prank.

Thanks Citizen Premier for reminding me of the thing-in-a-jar; I've been racking my troubled brains for stuff to decorate my lab bench! (Oh, and I'm going to add some faux fur to the thing-in-a-jar a la unsuccessful Ellen Ripley clones.)

That's awesome. It's like a cross between one friend of mine was doing and something another was, but better.

Hopefully the missing noun there is "project" rather than "person".
