Intriguing

Memorable

Well, completes the trifecta for me. Good post!

also, there's something about "One Last Nazi Cumshot" which makes me think spam is beginning to influence the language. or maybe it's just the way the world is.

Quite good.

I'm remembering a slightly similar strip, featuring two guys at a party talking to Roger Ebert. The same image of Ebert is used over and over. It's a picture of him making a frame with his fingers. Is this ringing any bells with anyone?

Thanks ebk, that is indeed the one.

And the extra "h" is kinda spiffy there.

Hmm, odd, strange, and sorta fun.

As a side note, first use of the "cumshot" and katewinslet" tags....

Let's see now...

Uses found material. Check. Impossible to understand. Check. Postmodern. Check. Banksy style screen-printing-y effect. Check. Offensive. Check.

OK, it's official. I absolutely love it!!!!1!1!!

Strangely uplifting while at the same time providing a visceral insight into the YouTube generation. Seminal.

What's the betting that the strips will be a Guardian or Time Out near you soon?

humblepigeon: Please tell me you meant to call something with the word "Cumshot" in the title seminal.

humblepigeon's list neatly explains why I find this to be the kind of trying-too-hard wankery usually created by persons who imagine themselves to be a deal cleverer than they actually are.
That is only based on the two linked examples, but they were enough to put me off subjecting myself to any more. Normally I'd keep my dislike of a piece of art to myself, on the grounds that it may be pleasing to someone somewhere and good luck to them, but this is actually diminishing to the human spirit and the creators need regular hand-chops to the wind pipe until they give up or grow up.

Thanks for this, geos, though the strips you chose are all very much from the weirder end of the collection there. They're not all like that by any means, and it's a shame to pass over the more straight ones such as the jazz history series, the story of Fliss, and the one about Lieutenant Onoda. For me at least, these not so clever-clever ones work much better. Much much much better.

Yeah, I liked the Mingus one a lot, too.

Wonderful. More funny Nazis please.

This reminds of the hip-hop/rap FPP, where it's one big love fest going on inside yet there is a suspicious lack of anything resembling dialogue. As if the rest of the MeFi community was on break or something...

Oh. Whoops. What I meant to say was, "Author! Author!"

Well, a bunch of us love it, a bunch of us hate it, and nobody seems indifferent. Now That's Art!

my new catch phrase
