On the ninth of November 1989 Eija-Riita Berliner-Mauer watched helplessly as crazed mobs attacked her husband with hammers, picks and even cranes. Despite the incident being covered widely in the international media, no charges were ever filed. Her husband? The Berlin Wall. And then there's the sad tale of Sandy K...

I can relate. Years ago I fell deeply in love with an IBM Selectric equipped with a 12-point Helvetica ball, but it didn't work out.
