I've really liked browsing through these, and the site owner encourages you to write him with anything he's missed. I'm particularly fond of severe storms.

Useful! It'd be neat to have a metafilter art "competition" where we choose an image from here and each paint or draw from it....

Wow. It has every place I knew to look except one, plus a bunch more. This is awesome.

No invasive.org? I couldn't find it there, anyway.

As usual, NOAA sets my nerd heart aflutter and then pisses me off with their terrible navigation.
