I personally think the sandbox mode of this is even more fun than Plasma Pong itself. There's something great about watching fluid-ish stuff swirl around walls, sinkholes, all those nifty things.
Now all we need is an easy way to export sets from the sandbox as screensavers. posted by c0nsumer at 7:23 AM on June 28, 2007

RIDICULOUSLY FUN. But goddamn this macbook trackpad. I NEED A MOUSE! posted by shmegegge at 8:37 AM on June 28, 2007
Like the game; love the sandbox. Plasma shader and vorticity lines. Like rubbing your face on a shaggy dog. Add vorticity for that feeling like you've been drinking to boot. Wait, I have.
Wow, I got #4 on the scoreboard. posted by ChestnutMonkey at 9:18 AM on June 28, 2007

This is fun, but I can't seem to score in game mode. Has anyone worked out how to fool the CPU paddle?
Either way, sandbox is where the real fun is. posted by Alterscape at 3:54 PM on June 28, 2007
I love the look of it... it's just beautiful. But it's not really a game; you cannot beat the computer, and if you're awake, it cannot score on you either. It's more like... a screensaver that you can lose at if you stop paying attention. posted by JParker at 10:31 PM on June 28, 2007
Eh, well you can beat it like you can beat any arcade game -- until its level reaches some ridiculous height.
Me, I can regularly reach mid-20's and then I die on 27. I have never displaced that annoying "I cheated" guy on the fake leaderboard. posted by dreamsign at 2:36 AM on June 29, 2007
Whoah, I take it back. Level 28 -- woo hoo! posted by dreamsign at 2:42 AM on June 29, 2007
