I'm not sure I'd catagorize thes photos as Dada; there's a little too much context within the compositions. Dada (as I understand it) was largely about freeing art from context.

Nice photos, though.

I think the Xray one might be, unless they did it in a darkroom.

Other than that, nah, I'd say these are all legit.

Thanks amberglow. Imaginative entertainment on a slow afternoon. Multi-tool blades in a sardine can, bobby pin rain falling on a hair ocean, fingerholes in a pipe, a burnt match thermometer - how differently an artist sees.

These are some of the cleverest (and I mean that in only a positive way) pieces of visual art I've seen in a long time. I really like this artist's sense of humor, his sense of style and extreme simplicity. These are wonderfully executed statements. They're like visual Zen koans. I'm a big Chema Madoz fan now. Nice photos - I generally don't care for overt surrealism, but these I like.

I found the google translation of his author statement to be funny (it was all I had, my spanish is pretty rusty):

It's like he dropped the art, and it broke, so he tried to replace it with intellectualism. In other words, it didn't do much for me. Nice quality photography, though.

FYI: I am pretty sure Chema shot these on 6x6 film using a Hasselblad (and mostly natural light)
