Wow.. 19 minutes flight time on 5 gallons of fuel. I suppose it'd be fun to fly around a big city for that length of time. Interestingly enough, they don't mention safety anywhere...

It sort of looks like the helicopter in the video is towing the guy around, with the jetpack stabilizing / steering the guy. Correct me if I'm wrong here.

Upon watching all the videos on their site, this one kind of implies there's nothing towing him from above. Although it's not totally conclusive. This site needs a FAQ.

Why isn't this in 250 point font on the cover of every newspaper in the world. This is huge. I've lived my whole life wanting to step outside, kiss my wife and children, have them give me my lunch, and then shoot off into the air to my daily job at Spacely Sprockets. If I can get one of those machines that dresses me, too, my life will be complete. I'm looking for ~~$400,000~~ $150,000 houses.

How likely is it that one of the nozzles will stop firing? This is scary because the jet pack has to be 100.000% dependable.

I saw this jetpack company randomly as I was flipping through channels the other day, I think it was OC Choppers had just built a bike for the company and the guy came in on a jetpack for the unveiling. They said you couldn't fly for very long but it definitely seemed to work.

I'm not quite understanding the price...somebody help me out. They're charging quarter of a million dollars for this thing? Does it cost anywhere near that to manufacture? I can't imagine. That said, when the price is the same as a luxury car, it'll sell like sliced hotcakes.

I call shenanigans. Watched the video and the guy didn't put so much as one piece of rocket on top of another. Also, no purple fuel cells. No wonder it only lasts for a few minutes before running out.

I'm actually a little confused. All of the videos that I see are showing rocket packs, like the one used in the Bond film. The ones that have a sub 1 minute fly time and use hydrogen peroxide as a fuel. But on their equipment page, they list the new one they are building that uses a turbine (which would actually make it a jet-pack.) But I can't seem to find any video or photos of it. Supposedly it jumps the flight time from 45 seconds to 19 minutes? Are we sure this isn't vaporware? That's a hell of an improvement.
