The Voxeo is similar to Tellme, in that it converts text to voice. Just a clarification. The Economist article focuses on the killer apps for those, currently unreadable, phone browsers and other handhelds.
There are many that have developed applications for the Voxeo and Tellme platforms, which use VoiceXML, and have done it for free. Voxeo, it looks like, is trying to encourage more of this. posted by vanderwal2 at 8:47 AM on March 8, 2001
