I found it odd that the depiction shown was of the author, crved on something, rather than of the gods or goddesses. Conventional thinking would suggest that the importance of authorship (attribution) came much later, and important as the author may have been to the local community and priestly functions, this elevation in status seems (to me) odd. And, I guess, of imortance .

Anyone consider the Death of the Author? Certainly this seems quite an appropriate piece of structuralism here.
