It seems to me that the last link doesn't feature the program in its final, game-solving form. I may be wrong.

Weird, I had pretty strong impression that checkers had already been solved for quite a few years. What could've I confused it with?

EMRJKC: you're right Chinook is actually a separate program from a different point in the development of the final program.

It is still really good at Checkers though :)
