MP3 iTeddy hopes to challenge Apple's iPod dominance Now that is some hopeful thinking. But I love the thought of these dominating the Seattle downtown experience. Hipsters, business-folks, joggers ... all giving up the iPod thing to carry the bear around.

Wait a minute... an identical iTeddy was pitched by one Imram Hakim here in the UK on BBC2's Dragon's Den, and won investment capital (first clip on page, not sure if it will work non-UK)... although another of the 'dragons' said he hated the idea and hoped it would fail. This was a year or so ago, although they had a recap, where-are-they-now episode on thursday when this was replayed. Anyway, I see no mention of DD in these links. Are these two competing products, or what?

I thought I'd seen this idea in Make, but the mental image I had in mind belonged to a cuddly remote control. Looking around I found an mp3-playing pillow & a Robosapien transplanted into a teddy bear.
