Are you suggesting it might not measure up? We had one of those giant slide rules in my high school math department. When a handful of us math geeks did really well collectively on some national exams, the school decided to pencil in some pep-assembly time between the football team appearance and the rally squad's floor show to have us march in with the thing over our shoulders. It was fantastic, if kind of bewildering to behold.
