Lovely. I'm glad they are on rever where they will get some of the ad revenue rather than youtube. 95,420 views when I watched it. I wonder how much of bump mefi will produce?

I swear that something like this has been posted here before. Not this video specifically, but this style of painting in the air with LEDs type thing.

I'm sure of this because when I saw the sprint commercial I thought, 'hey, I saw that on metafilter.'

It's really quite neat. When I looked it up, it seems like they are using a series of long exposures in a time lapse. And whoever thought to use that combination is just way too clever.

And as someone who has tried to duplicate some small measure of the kind of thing that's being done here, I can assure everyone; it's a lot harder than it looks. (at least to little incompetent old me.)

Yep, I was just telling my wife about another post like this from a few weeks ago ... it was one of those Sprint ads that started the conversation.

I tried looking, but can't seem to find it.

this seems to be kind of hip all of a sudden (i think i just breached the barrier where i feel old saying that), it's popped up on reddit, digg, commercials mention above. not that that means anything really, just sayin'.

Actually one of the clips was taken from something I had seen on metafilter. So I wonder if this video was just composed from other sources or what.

Actually madamjujujive, I don't think that was it (though it is quite awesome on it's own.) Nor was it pantsrobot's link. Which means that there might still be, yet another, cool light link floating around in the mefi archives.

Though if there is, I have completely failed at finding it.
